From the UK shores and global projects to expansion on your doorstep, 2023 has been a natural landmark for us at Halo. We hit records, welcomed more staff than ever, branched into new European offices to house the enormous talents of our growing team and allowed local support for our Land, Air Defence and Maritime projects. As we are on the 2024 journey, we’re seizing the opportunity to thank you for making some of our best moments happen.

Last week, the METSTRADE Show in Amsterdam, the world’s leading platform for maritime innovation, attracted a diverse array of companies and professionals from the maritime industry. Among the exhibitors was Halo Group Security, a global leader in providing cutting-edge security solutions for the maritime sector. The event, which took place from November 12th to 14th, was the perfect setting for Halo Group to highlight its latest advancements in marine safety and security technology.

The METSTRADE Show, renowned for being a key event for maritime professionals, brought together over 1,600 exhibitors and thousands of attendees from across the globe. Halo Group Security seized the opportunity to engage with both existing partners and new prospects, presenting their latest products designed to safeguard vessels, ports, and offshore platforms.

At the show, Halo Group highlighted its advanced surveillance systems, access control solutions, and real-time threat detection technologies, all of which are designed to improve operational safety and prevent potential security breaches in the maritime domain. In addition, the company presented its integrated monitoring platforms, which offer seamless connectivity and enhanced situational awareness for vessel operators.

Halo Group Security was excited to participate in the 2023 Combined Naval Event (CNE), an essential gathering for naval professionals, defense experts, and industry leaders. The event featured five key conferences: Underwater Defence and Security, Future Surface Fleet, Submarine Technology, Surface Fleet Technology, and Naval Damage Control.

As maritime security became an increasing priority for NATO and its partners, CNE 2023 focused on the vital elements that strengthen naval capabilities. Discussions centered around future Surface Fleet developments, comprehensive Underwater Defence and Security, and advancements in Submarine and Surface Fleet Technology, all crucial in ensuring freedom of navigation, maintaining sea control, and providing deterrence in maritime conflicts.

The event provided an invaluable opportunity for attendees from international navies, defense industries, and academia to align on strategies that addressed the technological and operational demands of the future. By attending CNE 2023, Halo Group Security showcased its innovative defense solutions that support and enhance the capabilities of modern naval forces.

The weather held out and we were able to show our Long range HD 360 Thermal camera and our Multi Drone Detection System, along with other gadgets that all operate by HALO’s new automatic integrated platform, enabling 24/7 coverage and access to the systems anywhere in the World.

Having re-structured during 2018 to form Halo Group Security, the team continue to deliver dynamic tailor-made security systems for their maritime and land-based clientele.

The new initiative is headed by Halo company Director Ian Hollingsworth. With over 20 years’ experience in the police force and more recently security liaison between the vessels and support teams, Ian has a solid grounding of real-time security issues faced within the industry and is a key addition to the Halo Group.

‘The opportunity to expand at Halo with new products and clients is a real achievement for the team and I am so proud of them and their continued hard work,’ explains Ian. ‘We are looking forward to introducing our new Partners to clients at the Monaco Boat Show in September later this year.’
